If you run a nonprofit, charity or community project, I'll build your website free of charge. You're already giving your time away — the least I can do is give some of mine.
What you get
- A complete website, up to five pages — the same Standard Build paying clients get
- Domain and hosting set up in your organisation’s name (never mine)
- A clear "Donate" or "Get involved" section, plus WhatsApp and contact form
- Google Business Profile set up, so people nearby can actually find you
- Every login handed over in writing — nobody gets stuck when volunteers change
Who it's for
- Registered NPOs, NPCs and PBOs
- Community groups, shelters, feeding schemes and animal rescues
- School, sports and faith-based community projects
- Anyone doing good work that isn't really a business — ask, I'll probably say yes
The honest bits
- What it costs you: only the domain (~R150–R300 a year) and business email if you want it — hosting is usually R0. Those go straight to the registrar in your organisation's name — I don't handle or mark up any of it.
- How many I take on: one or two at a time, alongside paid work. If I'm full, I'll tell you and give you a real date — not a vague "soon".
- What's not free: big custom work (online donation platforms, member portals, e-commerce) — I'll quote it at cost, well below my normal rates.
- What I ask in return: nothing required. A "site by DamienBuilds" credit in your footer and a Google review are appreciated, never expected.
